Cooling Down with Yoh-gurt Froz

It was a bit cloudy this morning, but hopes for a temporary respite from the heat disappeared well before noon, and the summer heat returned with a vengeance. Man, it's really hot. Any noon time drive, no matter how short, can be an ordeal. Time for a quick detour to cool things down.

My nieces swear by Yoh-gurt Froz, I guess because the sweetness and taste of the Yoh-gurt Froz Original is pretty close to ice cream, and with the added health benefits, this seems like another winner for summer. If you prefer the traditional tart and tangy yogurt flavor, go for the Classic Fro-Yo.

With the crazy heat, I go for a regular size cup of the sweeter Yoh-gurt Froz Original, with three fruit toppings (P 120). Yup, three toppings, might as well go all the way, with cherry, blueberry and strawberry, why not.

The tartness of the fruit complements the sweetness of the yogurt, blending into one really cool treat.

The glare and the heat outside is unbelievable, and the stop at Yoh-gurt Froz is a nice break.

With this heat, I'll probably gain a few more pounds this summer with all these cool, sweet detours...and the fat-free benefits of yogurt might be a better alternative.

Yoh-gurt Froz is located at Thompson Square along Tomas Morato corner Roces Avenue or you can visit their website at http://www.yohgurtfroz.com/.

  1. I love yogurt. Too bad we don't have Yoh-gurt Froz here in Dumaguete. Fingers crossed a branch opens up here soon. Found you via foodgawker, by the way.
